James Stevens Curl
James Stevens Curl (born 1937), MRIA, FSA, FSAScot, FRIAS, HonAABC, MRIAI, RIBA, is an architectural historian, architect, and author with an extensive range of publications to his name.
==Career==
Curl is Professor at the School of Architecture and Design, Ulster University,〔(Official website ) (Accessed 01 October 2014)〕 Professor Emeritus at De Montfort University, Leicester, and has been a Visiting Fellow at Peterhouse, Cambridge (1991–92, 2002). He was awarded his doctorate at University College London, and the degree of Honorary Doctor of Arts was conferred on him by De Montfort University in 2014 in recognition of his "distinctive contribution to the study of Architectural History" and of his "outstanding contributions to the intellectual and cultural life of the nation and the region".〔
